Hi Neighbour!

As I’ve been out walking our beautiful community and chatting with many of you, great questions about the upcoming civic election keep coming up.

I believe open communication is important, so I wanted to share the answers to the most common questions I'm hearing while out canvassing.

1. When is Election Day?
Election day is Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Advance polling stations will be available at locations throughout the city. Options include vote by mail, apply online is available now, or voting at City Hall, universities, malls and community advanced voting sites.

2. What’s the status of the East of the Red RecPlex?
This project is currently in the city council review and funding stage. A detailed design for the centre — which is to be located at the northwest corner of Transcona Boulevard and Plessis Road, right next to the Transcona Library — is slated to be worked on over the coming months and into 2027. The construction stage is tentatively set for 2028 to 2030. All of these stages are subject to council approval and funding.

3. Why vote for me?
With over 20 years of local community service and 5+ years as the Executive Director of the General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres, I have the real administrative experience needed to advocate for our fair share of infrastructure funding. Transcona deserves a representative who listens, shows up and works collaboratively to get things done.
