As a supporter, your contribution goes exceptionally far. Through the City of Winnipeg’s election rebate program, contributions between $25 and $300 are eligible for a 75% cash rebate. This means a $100 donation to Lora’s campaign only costs you $25 out-of-pocket after your rebate.

Donation rebate guide

The City of Winnipeg provides rebates to eligible individuals donating to registered candidates. The rebates offer:

• $25 to $300: 75% of the contribution.

• $301 to $750: $225 plus 50% of the difference between the contribution and $300.

Key rules

• Only Manitoba residents may donate;

• No corporate or union donations are permitted;

• Donations over $250 are publicly disclosed by law;

• Minimum rebate-eligible donation is $25. Maximum total donation for a city councillor is $750, with the maximum rebate for any eligible donor is $450 and

• Rebate instructions will be mailed to you and must be submitted after the election period closes.
